Ryan and I met March 2004 at work. We both work for Questar Gas and on Ryans first day of work his foreman, Bob Swiatocha, brought him through the office to introduce him to the office staff. When they walked away, one of my co-workers said "Wow, he's cute" (she's married so she wasn't going to be any competition for me!!) I agreed and kept my eye on him for the next few months. I knew there was something about this guy that I just had to get to know...
Every year Questar Gas has a Gas Rodeo and the day before the Rodeo in 2004, I asked him if he was going. He said yup, and asked if I was going. I didn't have anyone to go with, but if he was going to be there, so was I. I showed up an hour late, but he was still there waiting (that is the ultimate meaning of 'Waiting on a Woman'). We sat together and talked the entire time. Close to the end he asked me what I was doing that night. I told him I was probably just hanging out with my mom. (Ryan later found out that was true, I really did just hang out with my mom and sister when I wasn't at work...).
Well, he finally asked me out. We went to the Pie for dinner and then to the Gateway to see Shrek. After the movie Ryans friends went home, but we weren't ready to leave each other... oh how cheesy!! We went to a coffee house and got an italian soda and some hot chocolate and then just drove around. At 5am I made it home. We have been attached at the hip ever since that day.
