2008 in a Flash

Here's a recap of our 2008. It definitely was a fun year!

For my birthday and just for the fun of it, we took a trip to Moab with Natalie and Brandon (another couple from work). We went to the Arches and did a lot of the hikes. We were so worn out, but it sure was a good time!

Our First Anniversary June 2008

Ahhh...Hawaii!! For our first anniversary we went to Hawaii!

Both of us tried surfing... what a blast! I can't wait to try it again!

This is what we had for lunch one day. Ryan had the salad and I had the HUGE plate of nachos. We laughed so hard when they brought the salad!! It wasn't at all what we were expecting!

One of the first days we were there we did a session at the Temple and then went to the Polynesian Cultural Center

The USS Missouri. On our ride over to the Missouri it started to rain, I mean POUR. We were soaked. We spent a lot of time inside this huge ship waiting for it to quit but it waited for us to come out.

The Dole Plantation was one of my favorite places. The have the best pineapple ice cream!! We were even able to plant two of our own pineapples. They will be ready June 2010. I guess we'll have to go back their to pick them up. Thanks for telling us about the place Jolie!

Sea Life Park

Ryan was kind enough to let me talk him into swimming with the Dolphins!!! A once in a lifetime experience! It was so neat being in the water with them to see them up close!

Backyard Fun

The Fence- Just one of the many Summer Projects!
"That fence was a lot of work," Ryan just said. He installed it all by himself. Not because no one offered to help, but because he wouldn't accept the help.

"That makes me sound stubborn," he says! He sure did do a good job!

Another Project Underway!

Days after the fence was complete, Ryan decided to start building a deck. Does he ever rest? No!"Nice picture," he says! (Yes, he is sitting with me as I type!)

Reunion

It's been ten years since I graduated. Wow, that sounds like forever, but feels like weeks! It was a lot of fun to see everyone at the ten year reunion!

This picture is of Ryan, Me, Sammie, Steve and Kelli.
Sammie and Kelli are two of my really good friends from school. Sammie is next to me in the yellow. I have known her since we were real little. We don't talk or see each other very often, but when we do it's like we've never been apart! Kelli is on the end in the brown (that's Steve, her husband next to her). I have known her since our sophmore year of high school. She was always great at being a friend. Never judgemental or a gossip girl, just a really great friend!

Ryans B-day

Happy 27th B-day Ry
For Ryans birthday we stayed the night in Park City at the Canyons. We love little getaways! We had a lot of fun. We went to the Park City resort and rode the zip line, then we went to Park City Main street for the Sunday Market. When we got home Ryans family had a birthday party for him. Hope you had a wonderful birthday Ry!

Concerts

Ryan spoiled me last summer with a few concerts! I love music and would love to be doing what these people do. How fun!

I bought our tickets to the Carrie Underwood concert a day or two before the show and I thought I did pretty good considering it was a sold out show. Turned out we had the "Special Seats." When I bought the tickets the lady didn't tell me our seats would be in the wheelchair section. But that's ok. We were able to be there and enjoy the show! (But we sure had a good laugh!)
