I just love my little Kailee. She follows us around like it's her job! If I clean, she wants to clean. If I do my hair, she wants to do her hair. If I eat something, she wants to eat it. Of course when I started to work on some curtains for her bedroom, she wanted to help! I love it. She is sooo very interested in everything right now!
Notice the purple plug in her mouth in this picture? Well, it has become a thing of the past!!
Kailee is now binky free! We never really believed this day would come! At her 15 month Dr. appt, the Dr suggested that we take it from her before Ellie was born. We started to hide it from her, but she would always ask for it so we would give it back. A few months ago we finally decided we needed to start trying to get her off of it. But when she hurt her collarbone it became even more of a security item for her. We seriously thought we were never going to get her to stop using it. But we finally did it!!
Wednesday morning I left her binky on our dresser. She kept asking for it, but I was being lazy and didn't want to go back upstairs to get it. I told her she could go get it if she wanted it. Of course she didn't go for that. I started to tell her that binkies are for babies and she is a big girl so she didn't need it. Every time she would ask for it I would tell her that or I would just say it was gone and change the subject. Then came nap time. UGH! She cried for 40 MINUTES before she fell asleep. After sitting through that I decided she wasn't going to get that plastic plug back EVER! Ryan came home and went along with the challenge. It ended up being a VEEEEERRRRYYYY long night. After such a painful night we were determined to NEVER give her another binky again. She asked for it a couple times the next day, but after that she didn't mention it. She had a rough week trying to get used to not having it, but considering that I flat out stole something that she has had since birth, she has done really good! Yeah! Even seeing Ellie's binky doesn't remind her to ask for hers!! Thank goodness! Now onto potty training!
A few months ago Kailee colored on the wall with a pencil. Thank goodness she hasn't done it since! I had to get a picture of it before I washed it off. She sure is proud of her picture!
Kailee and I went to her dance class again on Thursday and this time Ryan and Ellie came along to watch! Kailee was sooo cute and had so much fun. She is starting to get comfortable and she participates a little bit more every time we go!
Little Ellie Belly is getting so big. She has found her feet and they have become her favorite toy! She spends a large portion of her day playing with them! She is also starting to grab and hold onto whatever she can. She loves to grab her binky and she can even get it into her mouth all by herself! Cute girl! I sure wish she would slow down with the growing up stuff! She is so very funny in the bath tub too! It makes me laugh just to think about it. As soon as she feels the water she starts kicking and moving her arms. She is so out of control when shes in the water it's hillarious!
Ryan is still loving his job. It is so nice to have him come home at the end of the day happy and ready to hang out with us. He is overloaded with responsibilities, but he is doing really good at keeping up with everything! This job has been a blessing for us and it is an even bigger bonus that he enjoys it and doesn't mind going to work!

What cute kids. Sounds like you have a little helper. Exciting she scrapped the pacifier.
