Ryan, now known as Daddy, and his little princess! Here's the story.. At about 2:00 in the morning I woke feeling a little crampy, but nothing that I hadn't been feeling over the past few weeks so I didn't really think anything of it. I tried to go back to sleep, but kept feeling as if I needed (actually, had already gone) to the bathroom (sorry, for some that might be a little too much info!). I tried to go back to bed, but the pain kept getting more uncomfortable so I decided to get in the tub. Once I started the tub Ryan woke up and started asking questions but was hoping I would go back to bed soon (the poor guy had just gone to sleep). He went and got the 'What to Expect When You Are Expecting" book and started reading about labor. He started timing the "cramps" and after realizing they were about 5 minutes apart and lasted for 40 seconds he called the hospital to see if we should go in. At 3am we decided it was time to go. When we got to the hospital the nurse wasn't able to tell if my water had broke or not and I was only dilated to a 2. She decided to monitor me for a little bit and see if it was real labor or if I was just dehydrated. Around 4am we got the news that the doctor told her to admit us. Yes, our mothers got the call at 4am! (We decided we would be nice and let Grandpa and our sisters know at 6am). After 3 nurses and 7 attempts, I got my IV and my first dose of pain meds! The doctor arrived at 6:30am and confirmed my water had broke and I was dilated to a 4. By 7am I had my epidural! By 10am I was at a 7 and we had Grandma Colleen, Grandpa Jeff and Grandma Kate, Grandma Carla, Aunt Steph, Uncle Mike, Aunt Tawnie and cousins Kamryn, Kaden, Cody, Conner, Jack and Sam all waiting to see her! Unfortunately for them, they had to wait during 2hrs of pushing to see her! It was the quickest 10hrs and 49min of my life!
We are excited this precious little girl chose to come to us and we are glad she is finally here!
(We will post pictures later with her and all her visitors. We don't seem to have very many since I wasn't able to have the camera with me!)

Congrats Girl!
She is so sweet and precious! I am glad that everything went well. My stories are more horror stories, but yours sounds delightful in comparison. ;)
what adorable pictures. And HOLY CRAP!!!! That girl has more clothes than me. By far!!! You will either need to start returning or keep the tags on and hope you know lots of people having girls to regift. That is crazy. You two are awesome. It's so fun to watch you be parents. And I just love little Kailee.
I am SO excited for you both, you will be AMAZING parents!!! She is beautiful, I cant wait to meet her, and see how you are doing. Laura, you are so lucky NOT to go 9 days over due!!! (I'm totally jealous!) I would give ANYTHING for a closet like that!!!
She is beautiful! We love Kailee so very much and are so glad she has joined our family! Both of you are wonderful parents and she is so lucky to have you! Her closet is AMAZING!
