Our little one has arrived!

Our little Kailee Ryan arrived Wednesday May 13th at 12:49pm, weighed 7lbs 3oz and was 19inches long. She has strawberry blonde hair and is just beautiful!

At our appointment on Monday May 11th, the doctor said he would start us on May 21st if we didn't start on our own. Two days later, this little girl decided she would come on her own!

Here's the story.. At about 2:00 in the morning I woke feeling a little crampy, but nothing that I hadn't been feeling over the past few weeks so I didn't really think anything of it. I tried to go back to sleep, but kept feeling as if I needed (actually, had already gone) to the bathroom (sorry, for some that might be a little too much info!). I tried to go back to bed, but the pain kept getting more uncomfortable so I decided to get in the tub. Once I started the tub Ryan woke up and started asking questions but was hoping I would go back to bed soon (the poor guy had just gone to sleep). He went and got the 'What to Expect When You Are Expecting" book and started reading about labor. He started timing the "cramps" and after realizing they were about 5 minutes apart and lasted for 40 seconds he called the hospital to see if we should go in. At 3am we decided it was time to go. When we got to the hospital the nurse wasn't able to tell if my water had broke or not and I was only dilated to a 2. She decided to monitor me for a little bit and see if it was real labor or if I was just dehydrated. Around 4am we got the news that the doctor told her to admit us. Yes, our mothers got the call at 4am! (We decided we would be nice and let Grandpa and our sisters know at 6am). After 3 nurses and 7 attempts, I got my IV and my first dose of pain meds! The doctor arrived at 6:30am and confirmed my water had broke and I was dilated to a 4. By 7am I had my epidural! By 10am I was at a 7 and we had Grandma Colleen, Grandpa Jeff and Grandma Kate, Grandma Carla, Aunt Steph, Uncle Mike, Aunt Tawnie and cousins Kamryn, Kaden, Cody, Conner, Jack and Sam all waiting to see her! Unfortunately for them, they had to wait during 2hrs of pushing to see her! It was the quickest 10hrs and 49min of my life!

We are excited this precious little girl chose to come to us and we are glad she is finally here!

(We will post pictures later with her and all her visitors. We don't seem to have very many since I wasn't able to have the camera with me!)

Ah...Laura she is so cute! Enjoy every moment..because they grow up so fast. I look at my little Ava and can't even believe where the time has went. She's precious...and I must say I think she looks like her momma!

what adorable pictures. And HOLY CRAP!!!! That girl has more clothes than me. By far!!! You will either need to start returning or keep the tags on and hope you know lots of people having girls to regift. That is crazy. You two are awesome. It's so fun to watch you be parents. And I just love little Kailee.

I am SO excited for you both, you will be AMAZING parents!!! She is beautiful, I cant wait to meet her, and see how you are doing. Laura, you are so lucky NOT to go 9 days over due!!! (I'm totally jealous!) I would give ANYTHING for a closet like that!!!

She is beautiful! We love Kailee so very much and are so glad she has joined our family! Both of you are wonderful parents and she is so lucky to have you! Her closet is AMAZING! Wow that is a lot of outfits! An outfit a day, literally! I love her first pictures! They are priceless! I can't wait to come up and see her room for myself- and your deck and yard! It's been awhile!
