Kailee is 2 Months

Kailee turned 2 months on July 13th. Again, time goes too fast!

At Kailee's 2 month Dr. appt, she weighed 9lbs 8oz (the 25th percentile) and was 23 inches long (the 90th percentile). Yes, she is LONG and LEAN! Sorry Kailee, hopefully we aren't starving you! She also got her immunizations and that was the saddest thing ever.

Kailee is now starting to lift her head, drool ALOT, she smiles and talks to Ryan and I, and she sleeps ALL NIGHT LONG! The first night she actually slept through the night was on Fathers Day (she was 5wks old). She went to sleep around 10pm or 11pm and didn't wake up until 5am. We wondered if it was just because she was up the whole night before, but she has been sleeping every night since! Sometimes she sleeps till 7am! She doesn't take very long naps during the day, but that is ok. I will take uninterrupted sleep at night any time!

Dad Takes the Girls Out!

Ryan took 'his girls' out on a surprise date to the Bees game! It was Kailee's first baseball game and Ryan got us the best seats... 2nd row by first base and by the bees dugout. We could see EVERYTHING! After singing 'take me out to the ballgame' after the 7th inning stretch one of the Bees players came right up to Kailee and handed her a baseball. I had been hoping that Ry would be able to catch a foul ball, but this was just as cool! The player said he has a two year old daughter, so little girls hold a special place in his heart! We were so excited we were able to get her a ball. We were also able to have it signed by all the players after the game! Hopefully one day she will think it's as neat as we do!!

Kailee's Blessing Pictures

Grandma Carla made her the white blanket, grandma Colleen gave her the booties and headband and Ryan bought her the bracelet (I have one to match)!



I am planning on putting the summary of the blessing on the back of one of these pictures so Kailee will always have it. Mmm... now which picture to use?!

Kailee's Blessing

Kailee was blessed on Sunday July 5th by Ryan. I am grateful Ryan honors his priesthood and was able to give her a name and a blessing. One of the best parts of the blessing was at the end when he said "remember who you are." I hope we can teach Kailee that she is a daughter of God and she is here for a special reason. I hope we can help her live the kind of life that her and Heavenly Father will be proud of. We love her so much and we are grateful she is here with us! She has brought so much more love into our home!
