Good Things To Remember
"No one can make you feel inferior without your consent. You have to agree that you are 'less' and that someone else is 'more' to feel inferior. If you don't agree, you cannot possibly feel inferior. You might know something less, or you might be able to do something less, but you ARE unique and hence simply incomparable.... Do not buy into being reduced to an object of comparison."
"Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, Who am I to be brillant, gorgeous, talented, fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small does not serve the world. There is nothing enlightened about shrinking so that other people won't feel insecure around you. We are all meant to shine, as children do. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It's not just in some of us; it's in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others." Our First Anniversary June 2008
Ahhh...Hawaii!! For our first anniversary we went to Hawaii!
Us on the beach

This is what we had for lunch one day. Ryan had the salad and I had the HUGE plate of nachos. We laughed so hard when they brought the salad!! It wasn't at all what we were expecting!

The never ending maze. We got tired and gave up!
The view from our Hotel

One of the first days we were there we did a session at the Temple and then went to the Polynesian Cultural Center
You can't visit Oahu and not go to Pearl Harbor
Ryan had a lot of fun playing with everything!
The USS Missouri. On our ride over to the Missouri it started to rain, I mean POUR. We were soaked. We spent a lot of time inside this huge ship waiting for it to quit but it waited for us to come out.
The Arizona Memorial
The Dole Plantation was one of my favorite places. The have the best pineapple ice cream!! We were even able to plant two of our own pineapples. They will be ready June 2010. I guess we'll have to go back their to pick them up. Thanks for telling us about the place Jolie!
This is Ray! He was our 'tour' guide.
Our pineapples beforing planting
See, we really did plant some.
The never ending maze. We got tired and gave up!
Sea Life Park
Ryan was kind enough to let me talk him into swimming with the Dolphins!!! A once in a lifetime experience! It was so neat being in the water with them to see them up close!
Backyard Fun
The Fence- Just one of the many Summer Projects!
"That fence was a lot of work," Ryan just said. He installed it all by himself. Not because no one offered to help, but because he wouldn't accept the help.
Sprinkler Surprise!

Another Project Underway!
Days after the fence was complete, Ryan decided to start building a deck. Does he ever rest? No!"Nice picture," he says! (Yes, he is sitting with me as I type!)
Sprinkler Surprise!
Grandma said no to getting wet, but Ryan thought it would be fun anyway!
